Dear Bruno families,

As the COVID-19 virus, designated by the World Health Organization as a pandemic, continues to spread across the country and the world, we are committed to taking appropriate steps to protect our club members and community.

Our first priority is to protect the health of our players, their families, and our coaches. We are taking these steps to not only protect them, but also other vulnerable members of the local community who come into contact with the members of our club.

In addition, we want to do everything we can to help prevent the spread of this virus in Rhode Island and beyond. The actions we are taking, alongside countless organizations throughout the country and the globe, are part of an effort, directed by the CDC and other leading organizations, to contain the coronavirus and halt the spread of it. The more that people participate in this effort, the shorter the crisis will be and the sooner life can get back to normal.

As of today, all Bruno activities are cancelled through March 31. This includes the participation of Bruno teams in indoor leagues. As things develop, we will keep you informed of the plans for starting outdoor training and competition. Our timeline will be guided by the information provided by the CDC and other governing bodies.

Many youth soccer events have been cancelled, including the NEFC GIrls Showcase Tournament this weekend, Rhode Island Premier Futsal playoffs, Massachusetts Futsal Association playoffs, Jefferson Cup Girls Tournament and other tournaments across the region and nation, and many clubs are closing down all activities as we are.

We know this news is disappointing, as soccer provides great joy to our players, coaches, and families. It is our hope that once the spread of the virus slows down, soccer activities will be able to resume this spring.

Below are some resources where you can find up-to-date information about the virus and best practices for protecting yourself and preventing its spread:
